Health Tips From Our Doctors

Are you suffering from allergies?

The pollen count is going up in Tarrant County. We are seeing high levels of juniper and elm tree pollen as well as grass pollen. Try to avoid being outside especially on windy days. If you are outside for a long period, it is helpful to shower to wash off the pollen and limit your exposure.

If you are suffering from allergies, there are several over the counter products such as ceterizine and loratadine that work well. Some patients take benadryl regularly but that can be more sedating. There are prescription products such as steroid nasal sprays that also can be helpful. Contact your doctor if the over the counter products are not helping you.
